Organizers of the Mille Miglia Retrospective have announced that this year’s event, which was scheduled to be held in its traditional May time slot, has been postponed to October 22–25, in light of Italy’s struggle with the COVID-19 coronavirus.
According to the organizers:
The Board of Directors of 1000 Miglia srl, in agreement with the shareholder Automobile Club of Brescia, in view of the current emergency and in order to ensure that the event is held in maximum safety, has decided to postpone the 1000 Miglia 2020 – and the connected events – which will therefore take place from Thursday 22nd to Sunday 25th October.
“As our institutions have constantly announced over the past days,” confirmed Franco Gussalli Beretta, president of 1000 Miglia srl and Aldo Bonomi, president of the Automobile Club of Brescia, “people’s health comes first and, in the hope of the best and quickest solution for this unprecedented situation, we all have the responsibility to participate in the collective effort underway.”
