The annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, to be held on August 17th will celebrate Ford’s centennial, showcasing some of the most significant and unusual custom-bodied and race vehicles produced throughout the Blue Oval’s long history.
Four separate classes will feature a portion of Ford’s notable achievements as well as its most recognized and renowned racing cars. One of these four classes will be exclusively devoted to honoring Ford’s racing prowess, such as the famous GT40 racecars, which swept the 24-Hours of Le Mans in four consecutive years.
“One of the functions of the Concours is to celebrate the influence of the automobile on our culture,” says Glen Mounger, event Co-Chairman. “Henry Ford, his company and its vehicles have had a greater impact on the American way of life than perhaps any other marque.” For more information go to www.pebblebeachconcours.net
