Bobby Rahal is a man who has worn a lot of hats: 3-time CART champion, Indy 500 winner, 24-Hour of Daytona champion, F1 driver, F1 team director and in recent years historic racer. But on Feb. 1-2, Rahal also added grand marshal to his long list of achievements when he presided over the 41st running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
According to Speedway president, Robin Braig, “It’s a pleasure to welcome Bobby Rahal as the grand marshal of the Rolex 24. His accomplishments in the motorsports arena make him a worthy choice to give the command to start engines in the only 24-hour sports car race in the United States.”
