Porsche Cars North America has unveiled the official Rennsport Reunion V poster for the world’s greatest gathering of historic and contemporary Porsche racecars and their drivers, at California’s Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on September 25-27, 2015.
This year’s event will focus on Porsche’s successes at Le Mans, and the poster consequently depicts three of the most significant protagonists: the 356 of 1951, first Porsche entrant and first class winner at the famed 24-hour race; the mighty 917 that claimed the company’s first overall victory with Hans Herrmann and Dick Attwood in 1970; and the 919 hybrid prototype with which Porsche returned to the top category of sports car racing in 2014 after a 16-year absence.
The painting from which the poster has been made is the work of renowned automotive artist Dennis Simon, who also created the posters for three of Rennsport’s previous four venues, all of which have become collectors’ items.
