Sebring celebrated its 50th anniversary this past March by inducting 10 legendary names into its newly created Hall of Fame.
The first class of inductees included the Porsche marque, Sebring promoters Alec and Mary Ulmann, IMSA founder John Bishop, John Greenwood, Charles Mendez, Jim Hall, John Fitch, Juan Manuel Fangio and Dan Gurney.
Additionally, Gurney also had the honor of having Sebring’s notorious “Big Bend” renamed “Gurney Bend” in recognition of his Sebring successes both as a driver (1959) and as a car owner (1992 and 1993).
