SVRA has announced the creation of a new endurance race series to run in conjunction with its prestigious Paine Webber endurance races. The new race series, to be called the “Tom Yeager Sports Racer Challenge presented by Chicago-Soft” will feature under-1600 cc sports racers built between 1960 and 1967. The series will start in Sebring, Florida, on March 13 and will continue with events at Road America, Mid-Ohio, Watkins Glen and Virginia International.
According to the race’s namesake, Tom Yeager, “We are really excited about this. We are getting a lot of good response from competitors all over the U.S. and Canada. In addition to noted racers like Gil Nickel, we’ve also received confirmations from a number of Merlyn, Elva, Bobsy and Lotus 23 owners that they will be joining us, as well. I think that we will have a little something for everyone.” For more information contact SVRA at (404) 298-3323 or Tom Yeager at (941) 262-4776.
