Seen during morning practice at the Gibraltar GP of 1963, this unidentified, but high-spirited driver was going like Jack-the-Bear: literally clawing his way around the circuit in a very hairy drive. While his private-entry Type 37 Bugatti was much admired and beautifully turned out, its performance was nonetheless dated, being out-qualified by Bill Dill in the Wildfowl by over 24 minutes. He was last seen broadsliding into Rosie’s, where he remained for the weekend, in high spirits.
