The Board of Directors of 1000 Miglia srl, in agreement with the Automobile Club of Brescia, has approved a five-week postponement of 1000 Miglia 2021, which was initially scheduled from 12th to 15th of May, and will now start from Brescia on Wednesday June 16, returning in the afternoon of Saturday June 19. The new anti-clockwise route and the intermediate stages of Viareggio, Rome and Bologna have been confirmed.
In accordance with the Regulations, the list of accepted cars will be notified by Tuesday March 9. The selection was carried out by the special examining committee which evaluated the many hundreds of registration requests received.
“After the experience of 1000 Miglia 2020 in the autumn, held last October, this year we will experience an unprecedented race in early summer,” comments Franco Gussalli Beretta, the President of 1000 Miglia srl. “The decision, taken in full agreement with the institutions and competent authorities, derived from the wish to be able to offer the exciting experience of the competition while giving maximum attention to safeguarding the health of participants, partners, public and organization staff and in full compliance with the regulations put into place due to the global health situation.
