If you raced small displacement production cars or modifieds in the US during the ’60s and early ’70s, then you’ve probably been beaten by Dan Parkinson. From Fiat-Abarths and Datsuns to a Dolphin sportsracer, Parkinson racked up an amazing streak of victories, which included being the first person in SCCA history to win two national championships in the same year. Recently, Casey Annis sat down with Parkinson at his Southern California car dealership to discuss racing and rabble-rousing during the heyday of SCCA club racing.
