The SCCA recently announced that in 2001 the club will begin organizing and sanctioning historic rally events in the U.S. These new events will fall under the Club Rally Historic category.
In Club Rally, participants can take part in a variety of events including rallycrosses and short-stage competitions which can include 30- to 100-mile closed road racing.
Eligible cars for Historic Rally compeition should be manufactured before Jan. 1, 1972 or conform to FIA Appendix K regulations (up through period classification G and carry valid FIA Historic Identity papers).
According to organizers, the new series rules will be in line with international historic rally rules so that owners will be able to compete both in the U.S. and abroad. For more information and regulations see the SCCA’s Website at www.scca.org
