A single-owner sale of 48 classic cars assembled by Danish gentleman Henrik Frederiksen will be offered for sale by Bonhams at Frederiksen’s 16th century manor house, Lyngsbækgaard, set in the Mols Bjerge national park near Aarhus, Denmark. The auction is scheduled for Saturday September 26, and will be the first conducted by Bonhams in Denmark.
One of Europe’s finest automotive collections, Frederiksen’s features mainly pre-war machinery, including examples of Alvis, Bentley, Cadillac, Duesenberg, Hispano-Suiza, Horch, Isotta Fraschini, Jaguar, Lagonda, Maybach, Mercedes-Benz, Packard, Rolls-Royce and Stutz.
“Mr. Frederiksen has spent several decades building this outstanding collection,” said Bonhams’ Jakob Greisen, “so it’s a great privilege for Bonhams to have the opportunity to offer these incredibly rare and meticulously maintained motor cars. It’s certainly one of Europe’s most important motoring collections, with several of these outstanding vehicles having received internationally recognized awards at Pebble Beach and Villa d’Este.”
