Recognized as the most historically significant Shelby Mustang in the world, the car retained its crown as the most valuable Mustang in the world, though it sold for slightly less than when it crossed the block last in 2020.
Overall, Mecum’s Kissimmee sale reached total sales of $217 million, thanks to a strong 90% sell-through rate. Mecum claims that this record-setting auction now claims title as the first collector car auction ever to surpass $200 million in sales for a single event.
