The Ferrari Owners Club of Great Britain’s 2015 National Event last moth produced a stunning display of high-quality cars for the EFG Concours. Held in the splendid setting of Stapleford Park in Leicestershire, the annual outing is a members-only event that this year attracted more than 400 of the cars from Maranello.
“What a truly fantastic weekend we have enjoyed here in the beautiful setting of Stapleford Park,” commented Nigel Chiltern-Hunt, Chairman of the Ferrari Owners’ Club of Great Britain. “We thank EFG International for sponsoring our Concours, which had an unbelievably high quality of entries. We of course thank the members who entered for the meticulous preparation of their cars and the judges who had the unenviable task of choosing the winners”
The prestigious EFG Trophy for the EFG Car of the Day Award went to Nigel Allen for his superb 1962 Ferrari 250 SWB. Also on show were two of the newly launched Ferrari 488s, courtesy of Ferrari Northern Europe.
Guest of honor at the event was club president and former racecar driver Jack Sears, who entertained members at Saturday evening’s black tie dinner with anecdotes from his time racing a Ferrari 330 LMB to 5th place at Le Mans in 1963.
