Fresh from selling a 1992 Ferrari F40 for a world record €1.12 million at the 43rd AVD Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nürburgring, Coys has announced that it will hold an exclusive Porsche auction during the Porsche Classics event on the grounds of Hedingham Castle in Essex, United Kingdom this September 6th.
To mark the 60th anniversary of the original Porsche 356 Carrera, Coya has assembled 60 of the finest and rarest Porsches, with special attention paid to those cars produced prior to 1974.
“Coys have long been the market leaders in the auction sale of historic Porsches,” said the company’s managing partner Chris Routledge. “This year our prestigious auction is being held at one of the world’s most exclusive Porsche events and we have lined up a selection of cars with remarkable history and associations with some of the marque’s greatest moments and personalities.”
The auction will feature a 1966 FIA 911 SWB, ex-Roy Lane with racing history being a British Hillclimb champion, an original right-hand-drive 1960 356 B T5 1600 Super Cabriolet and a 1959 356 A Convertible D.
Also crossing the block will be a 1970 911S factory car known as the Vic Elford 911S (above), which was the British driver’s daily driver company car.
