A tribute to the late John Greenwood has been added to the schedule for Historic Sportscar Racing’s Classic 24 at Daytona this November 12-15. It will open the weekend on the Thursday and feature a panel discussion centering on the man and his career beginning at 11 a.m., followed by a display of his groundbreaking C3 Corvette racecars from noon to 3 p.m., and a reception with awards and prizes from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Also joining the festivities will be two-time Rolex 24 at Daytona winner and Trans-Am champion Elliott Forbes-Robinson and Le Mans winner Jochen Mass. They will join Bobby Rahal, Hurley Haywood, Gijs Van Lennep, Patrick Long, Scott Sharp, Jim Pace and Dieter Quester, among many other competitors.
