Vintage Can-Am cars from 1966-1974 will once again be the fastest, loudest and wildest class at several vintage car races in 2009. While accepted at nearly all vintage races, historic Can-Am cars will be a feature at five vintage races on the West Coast.Historic Can-Am Association (HCAA) is organizing the featured classes at three events, while General Racing manages the remainder.
Additionally, the featured marque at the 2009 Monterey Historic Races is Porsche, which will hopefully bring several 917 Can-Am cars onto the track.

Cannot wait to see the Porsche 917-30 at Monterey this year!
Will there be any Lola T-70s racing at any of these events. Why is the Sept 25-27 CSRG Charity Callenge at Infineon Raceway not on the schedule at there web site? I live in Michigan and want to see these cars race and don’t want to travel 2,500 unless I know what to expect. All replies welcome. Terry
Not sure why the schedules don’t add up, but this year more than ever, it will be important to make sure events are still going to happen and that your favorite car will be running. The entry fields are usually posted within 6 weeks of the event and, of course, there are always last minute changes.
Lola T70s typically make the majority of Can-Am vintage races, especially the larger one. If you are traveling from Michigan, we would suggest attending the Monterey Historics in August. They always have a few well-known T70s in the field.
Nost Can Am races are on the West Coast.
Most Lola T70s are based on the East Coast.
