Lyn St. James has been named Grand Marshal for the 8th Annual Charity Challenge of the Classic Sports Racing Group scheduled for Northern California’s Infineon Raceway on the first weekend of October. Although Lotus is the featured marque for the event, featured driver St. James will pilot a Formula B Brabham BT29 owned by CSRG President Jon Norman.
“I’m excited about being in a car again at Infineon Raceway,” offered St. James, who will be representing the Women in the Winner’s Circle Foundation, “as well as helping promote the good work that is being done by the Speedway Children’s Foundation.”
In addition to the standard array of vintage races, the weekend will also feature car club corrals in the paddock and lunchtime track tours, as well as the popular race rides, with proceeds going to support the Speedway Children’s Foundation.
“We are honored to have Lyn as this year’s Charity Challenge Grand Marshall,” commented Norman. “Her presence enhances our annual event that has raised close to $500,000 for local charities since its inception eight years ago.”
