The Porsche Rennsport Reunion IV official artwork pays tribute to the winning heritage of the vaunted 911 racing cars. Sponsored by Porsche Cars North America, Rennsport Reunion IV aims to bring together an unprecedented gathering of significant Porsche vintage and current race cars, as well those who have driven them to victory in the world’s most famous sports car races. The race event will be held at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Salinas, California on October 14 to 16, 2011.
Porsche Rennsport Reunion IV will feature the decades-long success story of the 911 race cars, so the poster highlights two of the most exciting protagonists, the 1981 factory 935 long tail in Martini colors and Al Holbert’s 911 RSR from 1974.
The painting is the works of renowned automotive artist, Dennis Simon (www.centuryofspeed.com) who created the posters for two of the previous Rennsport events. The official poster for Porsche Rennsport Reunion III (2007) shows offs the mighty 917 and 962 in Gulf and Löwenbräu livery, while Porsche Rennsport Reunion II (2004) highlights the three 908s as they cross the finish line of the 1970 24 Hours of Daytona. Both posters are now collectors’ items and the new one will likely be no different.
