This relatively recently born site calls itself “An informative and entertaining antique automobile photo magazine,” and the release announcing its launch drew comparisons to the old Life magazine that was once one of America’s foremost links to what was going on—visually at least.
Most of the photos here are accompanied by extended story captions so that viewers can both know what they are looking at and learn more about automotive history in the process. The archive is subdivided into 18 categories, covering automobiles from 1885 through 1965, and automobile racing between 1894 and 1965, as well as motorcycles, trucks, busses and equipment, children (!), filling stations, garages and dealerships as well as several others, all easily accessible under the Categories menu on the right side of the home page.
