The Formula 5000 Drivers Association has published a five-race 2011 schedule that takes the high-powered series to some of North America’s classic motorsports venues. The year kicks off at Watkins Glen on June 9–12 as part of the SVRA weekend at the upstate New York track, then visits Quebec’s Le Circuit Mont Tremblant with HMP’s Booby Rahal’s Legends of Motorsports outing on July 7–10, before heading to Wisconsin the next weekend, July 14–17, to take part in the Kohler International Challenge with Brian Redman at Elkhart Lake’s Road America. After a two-month hiatus, the action reconvenes September 23–25 at San Diego’s Coronado Island Speed Fest hosted by HMSA, before heading north the following weekend, September 30–October 2, to close out the season with the CSRG Charity Challenge at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California.
