The Orange Blossom Tour will return ahead of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance in March of 2013. The tour, which runs from March 3rd to March 7th, offers a limited amount of participants the opportunity to explore the twists and turns of North Florida over the course of four days.
Debuting in 2010 and organized by the staff at Classic Motorsports magazine, the Orange Blossom Tour offers 25 cars and their drivers and passengers to a guided tour through the winding roads and beach highways that the region offers. The tour will begin on Amelia Island and will feature some of North Florida’s best scenery, including Tomoka State Park and County Road 13, which runs along the St. Johns River.
Included in the $4995 cost are several features that are sure to grasp the interest of automobile enthusiasts. The Orange Blossom Tour offers a visit to the Brumos collection, as guided by legendary racer Hurley Haywood, in addition to the large collection of National Parts Depot owners Jim and Rick Schmidt in Ocala. The tour also will allow for stops at renowned restaurants and hotels along the way, and even a trip to the Fantasy of Flight aircraft collection in Polk City, before ending back on Amelia Island on March 7th for the concluding banquet and awards presentation. The Orange Blossom Tour has also arranged for mechanics to follow the procession with both a trailer and various parts in case of engine or car problems.
The Orange Blossom Tour is open to all classic, sports, GT, and racing cars built prior to 1979, as well as exotic sports cars of any year.
