It hardly seems credible, but the 13th Goodwood Revival Meeting has just taken place and it was as good as ever. It is all credit to Lord March, who was a professional photographer, mainly in advertising, before duty called and he had to learn to take over the Goodwood Estate.
From the start, he had a revival of racing in mind. I know that because, nearly twenty years ago, I kept seeing Derek Ongaro, then the FIA’s safety commissioner, at the circuit. Lord March inherited his love for motor sport, and photography, from his grandfather, Freddy, ninth Duke of Richmond and Gordon.
