Silverstone Real Ale Company
Located just a stone’s throw away from the legendary Silverstone racing circuit, it’s easy to understand why the Silverstone Real Ale Company has turned to the heritage of the track to market its product. Indeed, the four real ales—Ignition, Pitstop, Chequered Flag and Octane—have names connected with motor racing too. Director Morris Jones describes the company brewing art as “liquid engineering.” According to Jones, “Our mission is to celebrate the pioneering and flamboyant characters of the early days of motorsport by engineering their passion into our beers. We are totally committed to creating beers that have that special DNA of excitement and skill, a beer we’re proud to make and more importantly that our customers are proud to drink.”
Recently launched is the company’s “Racing Drivers Survival Kit,” a collection of three ales, a glass, a Silverstone Ales cap, and three coasters offered in a wooden presentation case. Priced at £35 (plus P&P worldwide) it is available, as are all the above ales, directly from the brewer throught its website:
