Mecum Auctions will set up its traveling auction block at the Los Angeles County Fairplex in Pomona this weekend, February 17-18, featuring some 600 American muscle cars, classics, Corvettes, Hot Rods, Resto Mods and more. The selection of consignments for Mecum Los Angeles 2017 offers a broad variety of vehicles from entry-level to museum-grade, all led by a selection of high-powered American Muscle.
Among the offerings will be a pair of 1968 Dodge Hemi Dart LO23 Super Stocks, one of which is The Mickey Weise LO23 Hemi Dart that was sold new to Harry Holton Racing and originally campaigned by Holton and Weise on the West Coast in the SS/AA racing class. The second is known as The Demented Dart and was raced across Canada and the United States. Other consignments include a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette L88 convertible with a 427/430 HP V8 engine and four-speed transmission, a 2013 Ferrari 458 Italia that’s logged only 1,321 miles, and a 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air Bubble Top that features a 409-cid/409-hp V8 and benefiting from a one-year restoration completed in 2015.
General admission tickets are available in advance online for $20 per person, per day, and for $30 at the door and online once the auction begins; two-day passes are $40. Children 12 and younger receive complimentary admission.
