Collector, Head of Brightwells’ Classic Car Department
The well-established auction house Brightwells has expanded its Classic Car Department, opening an additional center at Bicester Heritage, Oxfordshire. Heading the team at this new venue is Matthew Parkin, who joined the company in 2010 from his position as Sales Director at Morgan Cars. Parkin has been involved in the motoring world for most of his life. Indeed, he owned his first car at the age of nine. He has an affinity with Austin 7s and loves genuine cars of all types, especially those with interesting backgrounds, and is an active member of the VSCC. VR’s European Editor, Mike Jiggle, sat down with Parkin to learn more about the man himself and to understand more of the history of Brightwells and its recent expansion.
