The factory Jaguar XJR-9 (chassis 388) that won the 1990 Rolex 24 at Daytona will cross the auction block at RM Auctions’ Amelia Island sale next March. Built by Tom Walkinshaw Racing for the 1988 IMSA Camel GT Championship, it enjoyed modest success during its first two seasons, but for 1990 was upgraded to XJR-12 specification and with Davey Jones, Jan Lammers and Andy Wallace sharing the driving emerged victorious at Daytona’s IMSA season opener.
