Some of the world’s finest classic and antique automobiles will take center stage at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the one-time-only Centennial Era Concours d’Elegance on June 18-20, 2010. The event was announced by Speedway president, Joie Chitwood, at the recent Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance in Florida.
The event will be part of the Speedway’s Centennial Era celebrations in honor of the 100th anniversaries of the opening of the fabled facility in 1909 and the inaugural Indianapolis 500 Mile Race in 1911. It is the first Concours to take place at IMS, and will celebrate the significance of vehicular transportation and competition to Indianapolis.
