The Vintage Racer’s Group (VRG) has announced that their current Formula Ford group will be enhanced by allowing Club Ford (CF) participation starting with the 2006 season. VRG has already adopted Monoposto’s rules for Historic Formula Fords (pre-1973) and will continue in this tradition. CF owners interested in participating in VRG events should refer to Monoposto’s rules for F70 Formula Fords (1973-1981). In addendum to the rules outlined by Monoposto, VRG will require the same tires as required on the pre-1973 cars.
“We are excited to add this new open-wheel contingent to our group. We look forward to increased competition and larger Formula Ford groups, such as those that raced in the ’70s,” says Chris Shoemaker, member of the VRG Board of Directors and an open-wheel racer.
VRG is a racing organization based in the Eastern United States that offers four to six race events per season. The VRG is a non-profit, volunteer driven organization. For information on the VRG, visit www.vrgonline.org or e-mail info@vrgonline.org.
