Dear Editor,
I enjoy your magazine very much, from the fantastic photos, the test drives, quality articles, the addition of Vintage Roadcar and even the letters to the editor. As someone who loves anything mechanical, I was wondering if it would be possible to have a quarterly article on some of the engines used to power vintage racecars. The history of the engine, with cutaway drawings, I am sure would help those of us afflicted with “mechanicalitis.” If not, I’m content with the current, fine package. I look forward to your magazine every month, and read it as soon as it arrives. The only downside is that I read it too fast!
Thanks,
Marty Teramani

Dear Marty, Thanks very much, and a great idea that we’ve been knocking around for some time now. There are a number of race engines, like the original overhead cam Peugeot that were seminal designs that affected engine design for decades to come. Would be great to feature both the technical development of these, along with their historical impact. Now we just have to carve out the time to do it! Many thanks, Casey Annis, Editor
