The second annual Benedict Castle Concours D’Elegance was held in Riverside, Calif. on March 28. An eclectic mix of more than 300 cars were featured on the terraced lawns surrounding the historic castle including Pebble Beach-winning classics, Grand National-winning hot rods, prized low riders, perfectly restored and customized Japanese classics, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, a P-1 McLaren and even Hollywood legend George Barris with his Batmobile.
Crowds flooded the venue enjoying castle tours, art exhibits and honoring the 32 First in Class vehicles as they paraded the Winner’s Circle. “Best of Show” went to the 1913 Mercedes Model 37/95, Double Phaeton Torpedo, from the Nethercutt Collection.
Visitors were treated like royalty with amenities like the Nethercutt High Tea and Fashion Show for the ladies and the Petersen Automotive Museum’s VIP Pavilion with gourmet delicacies. Emcee Dave McClelland hosted the award ceremonies and the legendary Ed “Isky” Iskenderian was the Grand Marshall.
