Mecum’s offering of Rogers’ Classic Car Museum collection of 230 cars at the end of February achieved $9,529,350 in hammer-price sales, proceeds which benefited The Rogers Foundation, supporting arts and education in Southern Nevada. The 230-plus-car assemblage consisted of a well-thought-out grouping of primarily American classics sprinkled with European luxury rides. Top sales included several Rolls-Royces including a 1962 Mulliner Drophead Coupe which hammered at $320,000 and a 2010 Phantom Drophead Coupe which brought a $232,500 high bid.

On Feb. 6, Artcurial sold the 59-car “barn find” collection of Roger Bailon for $28.5 million, with the top lot of the collection, and the sale, being an unrestored 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider selling for $18.5 million.
The third-annual Arizona Concours d’Elegance at the historic Arizona Biltmore Resort has been scheduled Sunday, January 24, 2016. The concours also announced its three featured classes for 2016: Duesenberg, Coachwork by Zagato and Exceptional Cars of Great Britain.
