An impressive parade of cars and motorcycles provided a dazzling classic weekend on the banks of Lake Como on May 23–24.
After the exhibition and the parade in Villa d’Este on Saturday and the parade in Villa Erba the next day the winners of this year’s prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este were announced.
In the jury judged results, it was David Sydorick’s 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Spider, which garnered the coveted “Best of Show” award, while Clive Beechem’s 1950 Ferrari 166MM Barchetta received the “Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este” prize as voted by public referendum.
Elsewhere, in the “Concept Cars and Prototypes” competition the Bentley Exp 10 Speed Six coupé was presented with the Concorso d’Eleganza Design Award, while the “Concorso di Motociclette” beauty contest for classic motorcycles was held for the fifth time this year, with a 1973 Münch-4 TTS-E taking home top honors.
