American Muscle Cars, mainly Hemi-powered Chrysler Corporation nameplates, dominated the Top 10 list of sellers at Mecum Auctions’ Kissimmee sale at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida, in January. The auction enjoyed a 78% sell-through rate, with total sales approaching $93 million, a 30% increase over last year.
Five of the top six slots were taken by Plymouth and Dodge machinery powered by Chrysler’s legendary hemispherical combustion chamber engines, with the top seller being a yellow 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible (right) that sold for $2,675,000. The Top-selling non-Chrysler product was a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
