A new scrutineering bay and VIP center was recently opened at Snetterton race circuit. Jonathon Palmer head of Motor Sport Vision, the company that owns the circuit, was assisted by Brian Lister, former team manager, and Jack Sears, one of Scott-Brown’s former teammates. All three gave tribute to the bravery of Archie who, despite deformity, raced both sports and formula cars successfully throughout his career. A plaque, already in situ at Snetterton, was rededicated.
Palmer went on to explain that this was phase one in a number of plans he has for the circuit. “As with Brands Hatch, Oulton Park, and Cadwell Park, Snetterton will be given a ‘face-lift’ and improved to bring it up to an acceptable standard to both driver and spectator alike. I am looking for a certain excellence at each circuit, yet for all circuits to maintain their individuality.”
