The Artcurial Paris Sur Les Champs 2016 auction was held 30 October, resulting in €3,855,673 in total sales and an 80 percent sell-through rate. The 10th auction in Artcurial’s ‘Automobiles Sur Les Champs’ series of Paris sales was held at the Artcurial headquarters on the Champs Elysées.
Matthieu Lamoure, Managing Director Artcurial Motorcars, said, “It was wonderful to see longstanding clients and enthusiasts come together at this anniversary sale to view and buy special models all presented with attractive estimates. The end of this 10th edition of the sale was an emotional moment!”
With a total of 75 collector cars on offer, the top result at the October 2016 Artcurial sur les Champs auction went to the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 that sold above estimate to a European collector for €667,500. The ex-factory 1964 Le Mans 24 Hours class winning Alpine M64 Berlinette sold to an American buyer for €369,500, while the 1976 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0, prepared as a Group V RSR model, sold to a European collector for €226,500.
Further notable results include the 1962 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Coupe that doubled its estimate at €107,300, a 1992 Lancia Delta Evo I Martini HF that sold for €104,900 and a 1967 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 changed hands to a European collector for €202,600.
