Being ejected from the car…that’s half the appeal!
As I’ve mentioned off and on, I’ve found that my automotive tastes have morphed over the years. Certain cars that used to hold no fascination for me whatsoever, have for some reason started to pop onto my radar. Call it exposure, call it boredom or god forbid call it advancing “maturity,” but some things now catch my eye. Such was the case the other day as I turned the corner in a local residential neighborhood and saw, of all things, a lowered Lincoln Continental convertible. The “slammed to the ground” (as the rodders call it), lowered Lincoln looked like 6-miles worth of shiny black sheet metal and chrome. But the feature that for some weird reason captured my fancy was those suicide doors…suicide doors?
