Bentley shined on center stage as this year’s featured marque at the Monterey Historic Automobile Races on August 17-19.
According to John Crawford, Director of Public Relations for Bentley’s North American operations, this year’s event was the second largest gathering of Bentleys ever held, with well over 100 cars in attendance.
In the on-track action, Stanley Mann and his 1929 4 1/2-liter Bentley won Saturday’s feature race, despite stiff opposition from 16 other Bentleys. In addition to Saturday’s race, there was also a well-done paddock display featuring significant cars in Bentley history, including the Birkin Blower car and the new EXP Speed 8 Le Mans racer.
