The Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving, the official High Performance Driving School of Dodge/SRT, has announced several new initiatives to commemorate its Golden 50th Anniversary next year — including track and facility expansions and improvements. The announcement was made during a press conference held in the Bondurant booth during the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
“It’s absolutely incredible to reflect on the evolution of this company over the last 50 years,” said school founder Bob Bondurant (above). “I opened my school on February 14, 1968, with three Datsuns, a Lola T70 Can-Am car and a Formula V. We now have a world-class facility that sits on approximately 100 acres with incredible track configurations and courses led by some of the world’s best instructors. We’ve laid an incredible foundation for the next 50 years.”
Bondurant’s school is located on the Wildhorse Pass Motorsports Park, which is in the Gila River Indian Community near Chandler, Arizona. Earlier this year Bondurant extended its lease until 2030, allowing it to continue with plans to expand the tracks and make improvements to the existing infrastructure.
“Over the last 50 years, the Bondurant name has been globally recognized as the expert authority on driver training and safety,” said Pat Bondurant, CEO and President of Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving and Bondurant Racing School. “We have several exciting projects already in the works that will be completed by the end of next year. For example, we’re renovating our facilities and connecting our two tracks, giving us three miles of asphalt, 26 turns, and 11 configurations.”
