Boss or Big Open Single-Seaters is set to stir the passions of European motorsports fans in 2000 with the sounds of screaming V10s, thundering V8s, popping turbos and the howling V12s.
2000 is the second full RAC Championship year for these exciting unlimited single-seaters. Cars now have to be built before December 31, 1997, and attract cars from F1, Indy, and F3000. Hybrids are encouraged, eg. F3000 chassis with F1 engines, etc. There are no restrictions to modifications, however, RAC safety regulations are strictly enforced. Avon tires are also compulsory. Two subclasses are also included: BOSS Masters for pre-December, 1989 cars and BOSS 3000 for cars complying with International F3000.
