Organizers of the 2000 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance have announced that this year’s event, to be held March 9-12, will feature the cars of Mercer and will also pay tribute to vintage racer and racing champion Brian Redman.
Featured exhibits include a collection of Mercer cars, built from 1910 until the company’s demise in 1925, and a collection of racecars driven by Redman. Some of the ex-Redman cars expected to participate include a Ferrari 312P and the BMW CSL that he codrove to victory at Sebring in 1975. For more information call (904) 596-6216.
