The 9th annual Brits on the Lake Classic Motoring Revival will take place this weekend, August 12-13, in historic downtown Port Perry, Ontario. The event will be celebrating the 60th anniversaries of four prominent cars, the Lotus 7, the Lotus Elite, the Jaguar XK150 and the Triumph TR5/TR250.
Beyond the atmosphere and shopping available in Port Perry, on the Saturday, August 12, anyone interested in taking part in the “Wing Commander’s Reconnaissance Tour” can assemble at the Birdseye Park parking area about 3:30 p.m. to begin a tour of approximately one hour’s duration through the surrounding countryside, hamlets, villages and lake vistas. The Tour is open to any vehicle, and is free of charge. Just turn up on time.
Following the Tour, pre-registered car show entrants are invited to join in the “Registrants’ Reception” at the Old Flame Brewery for fun and refreshments.
Then on Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m. through to 4 p.m., some 400 beautiful British cars, motorcycles and commercials will compete for awards in 30 Judging Classes, as well as the Peoples’ Choice Award, Club Prizes, Fancy Dress and Fascinator Contests.
