The Brooklands Autumn Motorsport Festival 2012 will be staged Sunday 14th October at Mercedes-Benz World test track, adjacent to the Brooklands Museum in Weybridge, Surrey, UK.
Last year saw the inaugural Autumn Motorsport Festival at Brooklands, with its associated Italian Car Day – and such was the popularity of the event that it’s being held again in 2012. The event represents a wonderful opportunity to round off the season with the sight and sounds of competition cars. Selected cars will also run up the demanding Brooklands test hill.
Among the many race cars present will be F5000, FIA GTs and Touring Cars, as well as Group B rally machinery – plus two Benetton Formula 1 cars: a B193 Benetton raced by Michael Schumacher and Riccardo Patrese in 1993 and, from three years earlier, a B190 that Nelson Piquet drove to victory at Suzuka and Adelaide in the 1990 F1 World Championship.
What sets this Brooklands event apart is how close spectators can get to the action; plus, if you arrive in your own Italian road car (any model and year), you can be part of the event by joining the Italian car display. Club entries are welcome, so organisers suggest booking club space now.
