The Brooklands Double Twelve Motorsport Festival 2012 was held 16-17 June at Brooklands in Surrey, England.
Organised in association with the Vintage Sports Car Club, the 2012 edition of the Brooklands Double Twelve Motorsport Festival featured more than 140 classic and vintage cars taking part in driving tests and a Concours d’Elegance over the two days, and approximately 100 pre-war cars took part in the Double Twelve Speed Trials, a sprint on the adjoining Mercedes-Benz World circuit on Saturday. On Sunday, The Test Hill Challenge saw everything from Sinclair C5s, AC Cobras, bicycles and motorcycles to massive airplane-engined specials smoking their tires up the steep Test Hill.
Overall winner of the Double Twelve Driving Councours was the 1932 Frazer Nash TT Replica driven by Timothy Jarrett. The Frazer Nash competed in the Historic Brooklands Post-Vintage Thoroughbred Class for Cars with actual Brooklands competition history. Other notable entrants included the ex-Mille Miglia MGA, Alfa Romeo GTA, Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing and the 1936 Delahaye 135 CS Roadster pictured above.
Brooklands was a 2.75-mile motor racing circuit and aerodrome in Surrey, England. It opened in 1907, and was the world’s first purpose-built motorsport venue, as well as one of Britain’s first airfields. The circuit hosted its last race in 1939, and is today home for the Brooklands Museum, a major aviation and motoring museum, as well as a venue for vintage car, motorcycle and other events.

Hell yes to horsepower!
Great photos of a good event, I particularly like photo #141 of my black Cobra on Test Hill (just before a half shaft snapped).
Yes. Always brilliant material.
