To help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the American Bugatti Club, one of the feature races at this year’s renewal of the recently renamed Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, August 12-15 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, will be The Bugatti Grand Prix. The last time the Historics hosted The Bugatti Grand Prix was in 2003.
“The Bugatti Grand Prix allows our owners to share the remarkable Bugatti heritage and to show the lineage that defines who Bugatti is today,” said Alasdair Stewart, director of sales and marketing at Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S.
Noting that The Bugatti Grand Prix is an international event, the American Bugatti Club’s Mike Cleary added, “Already, we have entrants from Germany, France, Luxembourg, Australia, Switzerland and Japan.”
In addition to the showcase Bugatti-only race at Laguna Seca, an International Bugatti Rally will begin in Monterey on Monday August 16. Participants will run up to San Francisco before turning back south and following the historic Pacific Coast Highway down to the event’s finish at the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard.
