Another unique event to add to the near overload list of events during the Pebble Beach/Monterey Car Week is the mid-week Carmel Mission Concours, to be held from noon–5 p.m., on Wednesday, August 14, at the historic Carmel Mission.
Open to the public for viewing, this invitation-only field will include such exotics as a 1957 Porsche 356 Carrera 4-cam, a 1958 Bentley previously owed by Cary Grant, a Porsche Carrera GT and a 1929 Packard Dietrich-bodied roadster. In addition to the concours there will also be wine tasting and a special “blessing of the cars.” Proceeds benefit local charities supported by the organizers, Knights of Columbus.
