The inaugural Cars in the Claydons will take place Saturday September 3 at The Claydon Estate in Buckinghamshire, featuring a large collection of historic and vintage cars sited within the stunning private gardens surrounding Claydon House — an English country house that has been home to the Verney family since 1620.
A collection of Audi competition cars will headline the displays, including the 2013 Le Mans race-winning R18 e-tron quattro. Sports racing cars from the 1950s, including a Jaguar D-Type and a Lister Jaguar, will be joined by Ford Falcons and Chevrolet Camaro racecars.
Also set to feature is a Jaguar XKR GT3, the Triumph Stag profiled in our September issue (above) and a collection of historic saloon and single-seater racers.
Organized by Nicholas and Alexandra Verney of Claydon Estate, in association with James Beckett Motorsport, Cars in the Claydons aims to expand into a full moving festival within two years. A motorcycle trial for The Claydon Cup will add a competitive element this year.
