This year marked the 5th anniversary of Jaguar authority Terry Larson’s C & D-Type Tour, held each spring against the dramatic backdrop of Arizona’s scenic mountain and desert landscapes. This year’s tour saw a total of eight cars participate including four C-Types, two D-Types and a pair of rare XKSSs. Participants were treated to an added surprise as Jaguar legend and factory test driver Norman Dewis joined the group for their 6-day trek through the countryside.
While, historically, this special event has always enjoyed gorgeous weather, this year participants had to contend not only with rain, but marble-sized hail, as well. However, the occasionally bad weather did nothing to dampen the group’s enthusiasm as they tore across Arizona and New Mexico, taking in such sites as the cliff dwellings of the Anasazi Indians, the Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert.
