• The 22nd Annual Keels & Wheels Concours d’Elegance, benefiting The Boys & Girls Harbor, has announced the featured marques for its 2017 event slated for Saturday and Sunday, May 6-7. The Concours will feature both the automobile marque of Stutz, and the category of American ’50s classics and Hot Rods. The event will also welcome Utilities as the boat classic marque. • 75 collectors’ cars went under the hammer on October 30 in the 10th edition of Artcurial Motorcars’ Automobiles sur les Champs sale. The auction realized $4,202,684 of sales with 80 percent of the lots selling. The top lot was a 1964 Aston Martin DB5 that sold above estimate for $727,575.
• The Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance is moving to an earlier date in 2017, opening the door to a host of collectors and exhibitors who have not competed in years past due to conflicts with other shows. The concours is set for the first weekend of August, a few weeks earlier than in the previous 12 years. The two-day event opens on Saturday, August 5, with Show & Glow by the Lake, an open car show, as well as a motor tour and the annual Style & Speed Social. The Concours d’Elegance follows on Sunday, August 6.

• The 17th Paris Crossing will be held on January 10, 2017, and will feature cars of the 1970s taking part in a 28-kilometer tour of the French captial. • The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) and its Automotive Restoration Market Organization (ARMO) and Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) Councils announced that the next “Collector Car Appreciation Day” will be celebrated on July 14, 2017. The date marks the eighth consecutive commemoration in what has become an annual event to raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society.
