• The 2017 Lincoln Homecoming, scheduled for August 9-13 at the Lincoln Motor Car Heritage Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan, on the campus of the Gilmore Car Museum, will recognize the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Lincoln Motor Company, which was created in 1917 to build Liberty V12 engines for the Allied Forces during WWI. (The company was reincorporated in 1920 to build motor cars.) The Homecoming will be this year’s national meet for all Lincoln clubs, and will feature both judged and display-only classes. • The opening event of each winter’s Arizona Classic Car Week, the 5th annual Arizona Concours, will not take place in 2018, after directors for the event decided to retire the event after four successful years in which they contributed more than $300,000 for its charity Make-A-Wish® Arizona.
