This month’s Web site is essentially a photo album, by a fan for other fans, and features a variety of photos taken by the mysterious “DC” (there are no bio or “contact us” links) during his travels to races over the better part of three decades. It features galleries broken down by category with layered albums of selected images from various Formula 1, IMSA, CART, Can-Am, Vintage, NASCAR, and NHRA events “DC” has attended, plus others from numerous shows and museums. While the site is very basic, and the shots of varying quality, there are some interesting shots of lesser covered events, like the center-seat Can-Am and some different perspectives of some of the bigger events like the Formula One races at Long Beach in the ’70s and ’80s and a few of the original Can-Am in the ’60s. For good measure, there’s even an interesting selection of cover images from various race programs he’s collected over the years.
If you’re looking for high gloss and production value, this site won’t be for you. However, if you’re interested in a candid shot of the Can-Am Chaparrals at Vegas, or Gurney at Riverside, there might just be a treat or two in store for you here.
